Lab
Activity 8:“What’s in a name?” and “How many moles are in a swallow?”
Purpose: The
purpose of this lab investigation is to devise a set of procedures,
which will successfully answer the following questions: 1. How many moles and formula units of calcium carbonate in the amount of chalk does it require to write your full name on the chalkboard? 2. How many moles and molecules of water are in a single swallow?
You
must determine the materials needed, the procedures you will follow
and the type of data you will be recording. Create a table that will contain this data
in an organized and well-presented manner. Next time we meet for lab,
you will be required to hand in a complete formal lab report created
by you. SFP Home | Science Home | Barron's Web Site | Lab Index | WebChem |
